Offline Classroom Course

Classroom Coaching Program engages with the students directly in regular classroom coaching throughout the stipulated duration of the course. The course involves regular class engagement, printed study material, regular answer writing & it’s assessment with personal feedback, periodic tests and their assessment with personal feedback.

Lectures and Discussions

Classes involve lectures discussions as well as dictation depending on the requirement of the topic. Every class starts with clearance of doubts. The rule is that students know the topic in advance, are provided content in advance and they have to read at least once before coming to the class. Each topic is discussed threadbare along with discussion and the students are expected to write at least one answer to the questions provided to them, bring next day for evaluations.

Regular Tests

After 3 chapters there is one day break followed by Test. After next 3 chapters there is 2 day break and test of all the 6 chapters. After completion of the section there is again a 2 day break and test of the whole section. Students are advised to revise their answers in the light of the discussions conducted after each test and get the answers evaluated again.

Besides they have to appear in 2 comprehensive tests one each for Paper 1 and Paper 2 after the preliminary examination irrespective of their batch.

Study Material

Study material comprising of the summary of more than 250 books and journals along with important articles and latest case studies from various journals, magazines, and newspapers is provided to the students. Though the study material is available on some websites as pirated but firstly it is outdated while a major part of the study material is updated every year. Secondly some photocopy shops in Rajender Nagar are selling spurious material as our class notes. The fact is that our class notes are not available anywhere in the country.

Answer Writing

The students are expected to write answers from day 1 and they must write at least 80 answers from the class discussions besides answers to the questions asked in the tests. Answer writing helps in performing better in the optional papers but also to handle Social Issues in General Studies as also building of framework of Essay.

WhatsApp Groups

There is a common whatsapp group for all the current batches directly handled by director where all current issues of General Studies and Anthropology from 10 newspapers and several magazines are shared and students are encouraged to participate in the discussions. Besides students are encouraged to form a whatsapp group of their batch where they interact with each other with respect to their total preparation.

All batches have limited seats; so please join early to avoid disappointment

Guidelines for Admission in Offline Classroom Course:

  1. Allotted Batch may vary from Preferred Batch depending on First Come basis. There will be 100 Seats for each batch.
  2. Admissions for Offline Classes will start on March 23 at 8.00 am.
  3. Candidates have to register by clicking on the Registration Link on the top of website homepage.
  4. A Registration fee of Rs. 2000/- is to be paid at the time of Registration to Secure your admission.
  5. Afterwards, a unique Token No. will be allotted to the Candidate along with a Time slot.
  6. The Candidate have to report at the Institute at the Allotted Time Slot to complete the Admission Process.
  7. Remaining fee of Rs. 57,000/- is to be paid at the time of Admission.
  8. Candidates must bring 2 Passport size Photograph and a photocopy of a Govt. ID proof at the time of Admission.
  9. Candidates travelling from out of Delhi or those who are unable to come to the Institute personally, please give a call to the Admin after completing the Registration Process. (Admin: 0-7303703377)
  10. Candidates Completing the Admission  Process will be added to a WhatsApp group by Mar 28 and further instructions will follow there.
  11. Vaids ICS will not be responsible for any Technical issues that may occur.
  12. Vaids ICS holds the copyright to all the content shared through App. Anyone found duplicating or circulating the content will be held Accused as per Delhi High Court Jurisdiction.
  13. Vaids ICS holds the right to Cancel the admission of any Student if found disrupting the decorum in any possible manner.
  14. Refund Policy: Terms for Seeking Refund:
    • Full fee will be refunded if Students seeks refund before commencement of classes.
    • For Students Seeking Refund between 1 to 7 days of batch commencement, Fee will be refunded after 10% deduction.
    • For Students Seeking Refund between 8 to 15 days of batch commencement, Fee will be refunded after 30% deduction.
    • For Students Seeking Refund between 16 to 30 days of batch commencement, Fee will be refunded after 50% deduction.
    • After 30 days of batch commencement, no refund will be entertained.

Test Series

Anthropology Comprehensive Test Series

  • Comprehensive Test Series is targeted to help students who have a mature preparation of Anthropology optional. The goal of this course is to help students answer questions as per requirement of examination in a time bound manner. The Program will comprise of 6 Sectional Tests & 4 Comprehensive Tests, each will be followed by Discussions. Further it will include updated Study Material and Doubt Sessions for Fossil Evidence, Primates, Archaeology and Tribal India.

    • Tests will have 8 questions as per UPSC pattern.

Part II: Time-Bound Answer-Writing Programme

This programme is exclusively for the students who qualify for Mains 2023. Target of this programme is to prepare students on how to attempt both expected and unexpected questions in exam based scenario and scoring best in limited time.

Time-bound Answer-writing session will be held twice a week (Wed/Thu & Sunday)  after Prelims 2023 result is announced. Schedule will be made available after the result is announced.

3. Introduction & research methods

Postal Courses

The postal Course is in the form of study material along with important articles and latest case studies from various journals, magazines, and newspapers. As the subject is new for most of the candidates and as the study material comprises if the summary of more than 250 books and journals, hence candidates are advised to study one basic book(Ember & Ember or Miller & Witz or Haviland or Hoebel & Frost) before seeking postal course.

Postal course includes:
1. Printed study material which is crux of more than 250 books.
2. Photocopy of 4 books that are out of print but are vital for UPSC preparation
3. A bundle of Case Studies.
4. Addition to WhatsApp group where you receive Current Affairs from Vaids Sir for Anthro as well as GS and ESSAY(mains exclusive and widest coverage).
5. 4 Online Problem-Solving sessions with Vaid Sir.

Prerequisite for Postal Course
Candidates are required go through the book Anthropology by Ember & Ember thoroughly before opting for postal course. The study material gets revised every 3-4 weeks and is printed on demand, Hence students must complete a through reading of Ember & Ember so they get updated study material.
